At Camplus College, you can count on a managerial staff composed of a Director, a Community Education Manager, and a Career Service Manager. The staff, who are in constant contact with the students, are familiar with their needs and they support them in their academic as well as personal growth, building a relationship of mutual trust with each one of them.
Community Education Manager
Camplus College Lingotto
I graduated in Literature. My passion for and my curiosity about meeting new people I can learn from – both in books and in real life – grew during my years at university, as well as in work experiences in the field of education.
My experience at Camplus began by welcoming new students, and has since broadened to building a Community at the residence hall.
I accompany each student during their university adventure, helping them to nurture their passions and their virtues, and to take advantage of the potential Camplus provides them to make new friends, to discuss different opinions, and to grow as people. How? I meet and listen to the students, and together we look for ways for them to develop their interests and give life to their ideas.
Simply put, the purpose of my work is to get to know each other, to grow, and to enjoy life, and the way to do so is by doing just that!
Responsabile Formativo Community
Camplus College Bononia
Community Education Manager
Camplus College Turro and Città Studi
My degree in Psychology has allowed me to deepen my knowledge about and get to know the processes and dynamics that surround our choices from a human point of view.
Challenging yourself in your studies and in your academic life is an important step for students to understand and express their talent in a unique, original way.
Every day, I encourage the students not to settle, but rather always to follow what they think might be a small step towards their realisation.
Pursuing this objective alongside your friends in the Camplus community is even more stimulating. In fact, “Happiness is only real when shared” (Into the Wild).
Director Camplus College Lingotto
My academic experiences (I studied Law, then went on to do a PhD and a postdoc), made me develop a passion for the world of research and teaching, in particular for students as individuals, each one of whose experiences, needs, and desires are special and unique. In my work as the Director of Camplus Lingotto, personal interviews are the most important moments for me to learn about problems and challenges related firstly to a student’s studies, and secondly to each individual’s interests and aspirations. I believe that listening to and valuing personal experiences, especially positive ones, is the starting point for helping students to achieve well-rounded growth. The cultural and relational character of Camplus provides precious fertile ground for this, also when it comes to approaching employment.
Director Camplus College Rome
I graduated and got my PhD from the Communications and Social Research Department of Sapienza University in Rome. My university years were an extraordinary time to develop my interests and to challenge myself: from studying and research to cultural events and the relationships I built with my classmates and “teachers”. During this time, I even took on politico-administrative responsibilities as a student representative on the Administrative Board of such a prestigious university as Sapienza.
Today, my main task as Director of Camplus College is to accompany every student on their personal journey, ensuring the right conditions for them to live this once-in-a-lifetime experience to the fullest.
Camplus College Catania
I graduated in Economics at Università degli Studi di Catania, and a few months later I began to work with Camplus, overseeing the start-up of the Catania Camplus, and becoming its Director in 2005. My work is a continuous, constant dialogue and discussion with the students to encourage them, orient them, and support them in doing well at university and in putting their passions and talents to good use. I am convinced that during the years at university, students form their personalities, develop their characters, and learn a method which is useful not only for their course of study or their future job, but also to deal with reality, which is bigger than any framework, any difficulty, any idea, any plan. It is an endless mystery to be discovered.
Community Education Manager
Camplus College Catania
I graduated from the University of Milan in agricultural sciences with a speciality in economics.
I took part in an international cooperation project in a developing country, and I gained a strong sense of responsibility and passion towards people and their personal stories.
Today I want to help and stimulate young people during the most important years of their lives, to bring out the talent that everyone can encourage. Consequently the aim is to foster the Camplus community by steadily working with young people, to adjust the circumstances that every day demand of us to step forward in order to become masters of our fates.
All this is achieved through many different activities, courses, meetings, events that we design and build together with students, always beginning with their needs and desires.
Camplus College Bononia
I am 35 years old, for eight years I have been married to Martina and we have two children, aged 6 and 3.
Up to now my achievements are a secondary school leaving certificate in classical studies, a master's degree in economics and law, and a master's degree in engineering management from a technical college. I have studied many different subjects. Their common denominator is a passion for education. Before joining Camplus, I spent 9 years as the general manager of the Pellicano cooperative, which operates 3 schools and provides extra-curricular services in Bologna. I moved to Camplus because I wanted to work with youth again, instead of the purely managerial job I held. I wanted to devote myself to relating directly with young people. My goal is for everyone at Camplus to be able to discover more about themselves, about their talents, and be able to find their own way, and bring something new to the world.
Camplus College Turro
After graduating in modern literature, I worked in education, where I was able to develop skills as a teacher and trainer in various fields. In the meantime I obtained a research doctorate in personal training. This experience allowed me to study abroad, namely in the USA. As director of Turro Camplus College, I would like to design training courses that let each student do his/her best, both as a person and as a future professional and citizen of the world.
Camplus College Lambrate
My degree in Political Science, my training in Human Resources, and my experience abroad have been the key factors to help me do this job, which is basically a direct relationship with the students. My role, in particular, is to grow and strengthen the Milan Community through debates, courses, cultural and sporting events, and various types of activities, while interacting continuously with the students. This helps to form people who are interesting and alive, with a broad, open outlook towards reality.
Camplus College Palermo
My main goal, as well as my vocation, is teaching, which I consider the keystone of personal growth and of the growth of society as a whole. A graduate in motor sciences from the University of L'Aquila. Evaluating, adapting, supporting and motivating are the key principles around which I organise my work. I consider the personal and professional growth of every single student must be pursued, through constant attention not only to their interests or their needs, but arousing their passion and attraction in all directions.
Camplus Humanitas University
I graduated in Philosophy from Università degli Studi di Palermo, and I got a piano diploma from the “V. Bellini” music conservatory in Palermo before going abroad to specialise in organ music and composition. After having worked as the Community Education Manager at the d’Aragona Camplus in Catania, I became Director of the Palermo Camplus. Today I’ve taken on a new challenge as Director of Camplus Humanitas University.
Every student has a history behind them and a future ahead of them. I believe strongly in “one-on-one” relationships: putting yourself out there is fundamental if you want to get to the heart of the most pressing and most interesting aspects of the academic, professional, and human road ahead of them.
It’s time to join the fray.
Careers Service Manager
Camplus College Rome
I graduated in Classics from Sapienza University in Rome, after having studied abroad for a year at Unviersität Zu Köln in Germany. I then got my teaching certificate and a Master’s in Communications and Cultural Marketing, and I began working in this field for various integrated marketing communications agencies and cultural associations.
I work in the educational and cultural field at Camplus as well, by building relationships with the students and organising activities, roundtables, and courses with them. Each event is one more tile that adds to their scientific and human makeup. I also help to orient them towards the world to come once they finish their studies.
Being able to share the adventure of getting to know yourself and your potential, of growing, and of learning to savour life with others fills me with new enthusiasm every day for the journey we’re on together.
Camplus College San Felice
After I graduated in Law from Università Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna, I immediately began a career in law, driven by a desire to deepen my knowledge hands-on about various things I’d learned during my studies.
After I finished my legal traineeship, and before arriving at Camplus, I enriched by career path first by working in the law office of a big multinational, and later on by doing consulting work.
Now I can share these experiences with our students, and this allows me to get to the heart of their needs and desires.
The passion which grew in me during my academic years, and which still accompanies me in my Camplus adventure, is the thing that best characterises my work, both in my position as Community Education Manager, and also as Head of the Legal Political Club. My challenge is to spread this passion to our students!
Camplus College Città Studi
My university studies at the Philosophy Department of the Statale di Milano brought out my passion for university students’ education. The aim of my role as Director at Camplus College Città Studi is to support each student in his or her personal path of cultural and human growth. To welcome, follow, and nurture each student’s talent, bringing out a positive perception of the day-to-day life they live. The personal interview is the best formative moment to begin a dialogue with each single student.
Camplus College Lambrate
I graduated in Physics in Milan in 2001 with a thesis on cosmology, during which I was involved in ESA’s Planck mission. I worked for Regione Lombardia on innovation and technology transfer. I worked with Associazione Euresis, which works in the science communication field, organising exhibits, printing catalogues, articles, and documentaries, and organising roundtables and conferences.
I work in Camplus since 2010.
My job is mainly to listen to the students and to try to support them in their academic commitments, so that the journey they’ve begun is formative on all levels. Each one’s inclinations and talents are important starting points: knowing how to spot them becomes an opportunity to come up with ideas to integrate their academic education.
Career Service Tutor
I graduated in work and organisation psychology. I had the opportunity to do important work in human resources, where I worked for more than twenty years with people and organisations in the field of search and selection, training and consulting. My job is to help people and professionals get to know themselves better, to augment their distinctive traits depending on their personal, professional and business goals. At Camplus I work alongside young people to help them choose a job, tidy up their CVs and prepare for a job interview, while studying and while actively seeking work. The starting point is always the talent of the people with whom I interact. Actively listening, clearly defining goals and empowerment are the tools to determine the right strategy to go in the desired direction.
Camplus College Alma Mater
I studied Philosophy at Università di Bologna, graduating with a thesis on Husserl. My advisor was Stefano Besoli, and my paper was published in the Philosophy Department’s journal series. After I graduated, I taught philosophy in a high school for a few years, where I discovered my educational vocation. For the past 20 years, I’ve been “using” this passion of mine as the Director of Camplus College, by helping to educate university students. I help them to achieve their goals by offering them the expertise in tutoring, mentoring, coaching, and counselling that I’ve developed over the years both on the job and during training courses.
Over the past few years, I’ve discovered self-empowerment thanks to training opportunities with Massimo Bruscaglioni and Stefano Gheno. This discovery has brought new tools, methodologies, and horizons to my work, so that the students can live out their passions, discover their talents, and learn to recognise and live out their personal and professional vocation.
Community Education Manager
Camplus College Alma Mater
I graduated in philosophy from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan with a thesis on Nietzsche. Since my early years at university I tried to become a teacher, which is a profession that I tried to pursue until I came across Camplus, where passion for teaching has turned into a passion for education, which is realised here in teamwork between teacher and student, which can inspire projects and activities that become ever more interesting. Here the creativity and talent of every young person finds a home and fertile soil where they can grow and get to know themselves.
Tutor Career Service
I graduated in psychology and specialised in management and development of human resources and coaching. For several years I have worked as an expert in guidance with students and graduates, supporting them in the delicate transition to working life, by developing a personal project of professional integration that matches their work objectives and the demands of the labour market, drawing up the main documents they must submit to prospective employers (curriculum vitae, cover letter) and using active tools to search for work. When I meet young people, I like to drill them in staff recruitment procedures (individual and group interviews, handling tests and objective evidence) not only from the candidate’s standpoint but also from that of the recruiter, so that they can better understand what the company's expectations and goals are, by using an interactive and experiential approach. Being able to help young people to become aware of their skills and competences, to accompany them in finding their own way in a highly competitive world is what makes my job more exciting.
Silvia Gurbindo Alemán
Director Camplus Pamplona
I have always had a passion for training and knowledge in general. Maybe that's why I decided to follow the humanistic studies and to deepen them with a doctorate. I also like the world of business management and this is why I decided to combine the career of a teacher, as a university professor, with management, becoming the director of a Business School. In parallel, I completed my studies with a Master in People Management and a Master in Business Management. The last three years I have worked as Director of Camplus Pamplona and I feel extremely enriched on a human level. I love the relationship with the students, empathize with them and contribute to their personal development process. I consider myself very fortunate in being able to devote myself to a job that excites me and completely engages me.
Teresa Del Torto
Head planning and provision of educational services
I studied Education at university, and I’ve built my career on helping people to create and participate in training courses to prepare for their entrance into the job market. To do so, I start with my knowledge of and the relationship I have with the person in front of me, be they teacher or pupil. I keep in mind what work means to me: it’s a vocation, a desire to build a positive relationship with reality, to get to know it, to live it to the fullest, and learn more about who I am. In my opinion, this is only possible thanks to the knowledge, techniques, values, and experience of people who act and talk to themselves and others in a way that considers work as a “work of art”, because it brings out the men among men.
